Ipswich lost their 3rd round F.A.Cup tie to a wonder goal by Sheffield Utd`s Nathan Thomas.

Put the goal aside and there was little to choose between the teams, with Ipswich having the bulk of the possession and putting together some good moves along the ground.

Bearing in mind the horrendous list of injuries we have suffered and the ability to play well together as a team, spoke volumes for of the 11 players that Mick managed to find. They included Luke Hyam who hadn`t started a game for ages and he played really well and showed great passion throughout.

Excitement built as Waghorn came on and Ipswich attacked in waves in the second half but there was a lack of confidence in front of goal and the breakthrough never really happened.

Criticism after the game was again aimed at the manager but my only agreement with it, is over not throwing on two late substitutes to attempt to pull at least one goal back.

We had strikers on the bench and the stage was set for one of them to change the result but there was no further movement from the bench.

Other than that, I don`t see why managing a team that is 7 points off the playoffs – despite a tiny budget and so many injuries should be seen as failure? Why when together with a determined effort against a stronger and much wealthier outfit means we should be baying for Mick`s head?

I know many supporters disagree but to me it`s all to do with the lack of investment rather than our team and our management.

To keep criticising and booing is a self fulfilling prophecy and our team and management will soon collapse under this pressure of it all.
