Ipswich have today confirmed that Carlos Edwards has now moved to Millwall on a permanent deal, following his spell on loan with them at the end of last season.

The 35 year old has been at Portman Road for the last five years, having joined us from Sunderland back in 2009. In his time with us he played in 191 matches, scoring ten goals.

He did spend the last two months of 2013-14 with Millwall, filling in mainly at right back, scoring once in eight appearances as they beat the drop from the Championship.

Speaking to the Official Site manager Mick McCarthy said of our former Player of the Year.

‘Carlos has been a great servant to the club and we wish him well.’
