Under owner Marcus Evans, we are stuck with just one name,
And if we forget those Roy Keane years, the name remains the same.
First, we had Paul Jewell – a scouser through and through,
Who loved his time at Ipswich much more than me or you.
And then along came Hursty, who was thirsty for success,
But he brought us only failure and more and more distress.
And after he departed, with his tail between his legs,
Paul Lambert was appointed and started opening up beer kegs!
Yet the honeymoon soon faded and the anger it returned,
As we started to go backwards and no lessons had been learned.
And now we have another Paul and a scouser one more time,
But we hope that he is better in a club in such decline.
This Paul could do the business or follow all the rest,
And be a name in history that is not for Town the best.
He has passion and a vision – he’s a winner through and through,
So now its time to find out if his blood is bleeding blue?
