Ipswich Town flop Michael Chopra has insisted he may not leave the club – even though he has been transfer listed.
Despite not being wanted by the manager Mick McCarthy, and many Blues fans, the former Newcastle United, Sunderland and Cardiff City striker sees no reason to leave Portman Road.
In a recent Tweet, Chopra said ‘Might stay at ipswich as I know how much the ipswich fans love me keep telling people I don’t need to leave.’
A distinct lack of interest from other clubs means Town may be stuck with the striker who has managed just 19 goals in his undistinguished Ipswich career.
The player has said even f a club does come in for him and Town accept an offer he still might not leave if the deal is not right for him.
Controversial Chopra has not won many supporters with his jibes at fans, activities off it, which include being warned off racecourses, driving offences and massive gambling problems leading to being involved with gangsters and getting into debt with the club having to lend him £250,000.
