Danny Collins is back with Stoke City today after signing off his Blues loan spell with a clean sheet.
Collins is expected to sign for Wolves in time for him to make his debut for them in January.
The 31-year-old defender played every game since arriving on loan in September and will leave Portman Road with something of a heavy heart but doesn’t expect to come back.
He told the matchday programme: ‘I’ve enjoyed my time here. It is a good football club but I’m not sure what is going to happen. I will go back to Stoke and see what develops from there.’
Collins became a father to son Lucas while with Town but with his family living in Staffordshire a move to Wolves, where manager Mick McCarthy first signed him for Sunderland, looks a good bet.
