The season might only be a month old in terms of the calendar, but with high expectations for some players when it comes to this year’s Golden Boot battle – here’s who stands out so far.
With a number of players already notching up four strikes from the campaign, we’ll have to see if anybody can better Chris Wood at Leeds United last season with his tally of 27, but they’ll be a number of people who are hoping they can do just that.
There are more than enough games left for the table below to change so we’ll just have to see what happens.
With only five games played so far in the 2017/18 campaign I’ll limit the table to those who are in the BBC.co.uk top table with three or more strikes.
