Chief executive Derek Bowden believes that Town fans have seen the last of new faces coming to Portman Road this year, after Darren Ambrose’s loan arrival last week.
‘It is highly unlikely we will be bring in another emergency loan player before the deadline next week,’ said Bowden.
Ipswich have most recently linked with Graham Gartland, who trained with the Blues a fortnight ago. The Irishman was reported to have been offered a contract, but that was subsequently denied.
Town are now likely to wait until January before the club signs another player.
Bowden didn’t however rule out the possibility of a Town player leaving before next Thursday’s deadline.
