Mick McCarthy has made a move for yet another keeper after offering cash for Notts County’s Bartosz Bialkowski

The Polish keeper, 26, was a loanee at Portman Road towards the end of the 2008/09 season while with Southampton.

The 6′ 4” keeper failed to make a first team appearance and saw red when he was sent off at Luton after handling the ball outside the area while playing for the resizes.

Bailkowski is well-konwn to Town’s goalkeeping coach Malcolm Webster after the pair worked together at Southampton when George Burley was boss.

You can never have too many keepers but it does make you wonder what Scott Loach is thinking after this and te fact that Dean Gerkin is with the Blues in Ireland and could play against Shelbourne tonight.
