Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich threw away yet another coupe of points after going in front.

To make amtters worse Aaron Cresswell was red carded after the final whistle for fould and abusive language towards the referee as the teams left the pitch.

The Blues went in front through a superbly worked corner routine finished off by Daryl Murphy who headed in an Aaron Cresswell corner.

The goal came from the training ground with superb movement at the set piece with David McGoldrick i particular dragging a couple of defenders out of position.

Town had a couple of other first half chances, but Tommy Smith and Luke Chambers headed high and wide while McGoldrick went wide.

Whatever David Flitcroft said to his Tykes at half-time – it worked.

They flew at Town with Chris O’Grady stinging Dean Gerken’s hands. But it was a poor clearance from Smith which led to the 70th minute leveller when substitute Jim O’Brien drove home.

Town had a shout for a penalty in time added on but referee Andy D’Urso waved away Frank Nouble’s appeal after he went down under a Jean Yves M’Voto challenge.

That in turn led to CResswell being red carded.
