Ipswich almost doubled their spending on agents fees. latest figues have revealed.
The Blues forked out £551,878 during the year to June 30th 2013, up from the £233,990 they spent on agents’ fees in the previous 12 months, according to the Football League’s Agents’ Fees Report
That £551,878 was spread across17 loan deals, 22 new registrations, four updated contracts, eight cancelled contracts in a total of 51 deals:.
Town were the 10th biggest spenders in the Championship with Blackburn the highest, having paid out £3,538,034. Five other clubs spent more than £1 million, while Blackpool, who top the football table, paid no agents` fees at all.
Not sure what the point of the whole thing is but clearly, given where Ipswich are in the league table, it has not done them much good.
