Bialkowski In Team Of Midweek (21/8/16)

Ipswich Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s midweek action.

The performance by goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski in the scoreless draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers last Tuesday at the Molineux was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Bialkowski was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Bialkowski was Ipswich’s hero in midweek, saving Jon Dadi Bodvarsson’s first-half penalty in the goalless draw at Wolves. The Polish stopper continued to thwart the hosts throughout as Mick McCarthy’s men came away with a point.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Bialkowski for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the point.
