I have been editor of this Vital Ipswich website for some years and occasionally supporters have waded in with a few articles but sadly these moments of inspiration have been few and far between.
I call myself the editor but the only editing I am doing these days is on my own work, so whilst it is all quiet on the Frank Weston front, I thought this might be the perfect opportunity to get some of you on board again.
You are not obliged to write regularly if this is not your thing, and it does not even have to be an article because some pop poetry would also suffice if that tickles your fancy more? At the end of the day, as Town supporters, we are all in this together and whilst I am happy to write on a fairly frequent basis, I am not expecting you to do the same. Any contribution would be worthy of consideration because I think it is important from a fans perspective that we can develop all sorts of opinions about the manager, the players and the owner of this fabulous football club.
The aim of the game is to share our views on all things Ipswich Town, and now that we will be starting a new life in a league we have not frequented since way back in 1957, I would be interested to hear your opinions on just how well we might fare – or otherwise perhaps? Have we got the strength in dept to come up the first time of asking, or will we end up like the mighty Sunderland or worst still Coventry City?
Sunderland are at least in those play-off places as things stand but the Sky Blues, who were a top-flight club for three decades find themselves in ninth place currently – although they are in with an outside chance of getting into the top six before the season ends and remember, they had to go further down the football pyramid before they came back to this place last season so it is not easy!
Anyway, have a little think, and if you have something to say on the subject of Ipswich Town football club then I would love to hear from you!
